This two-part portrait of the American painter Harold Stevenson begins at the Factory on October 29, 1965, with single-framed footage of the making of Warhol's film Camp, a film in which Stevenson does not appear, even though he apparently turned up in a velvet suit for the occasion. Some later footage, shot on November 4, shows Stevenson, now wearing an elaborate three-piece plaid suit, embracing Malanga and Paul America and then striking flamboyant poses for Williams's camera. The second part of the film was shot on December 1, 1965, in Stevenson's suite at the Carlyle Hotel, where the painter and his guests strike photogenic poses on the couch. (Callie Angell)
