Apartment Zero has been labelled a Hitchcockian thriller with satirical overtones and homoerotic undertones: Adrian LeDuc lives in an apartment complex in which the neighbours delight in minding everyone elses business. Overwhelmed by debt, the reclusive, distrusting Adrian is forced to take in a boarder. The young, charming tenant, Jack Carney, cant help but being liked by everyone. He seems to be all things to all people; an expert at finding out what people want and giving it to them. While Adrian discovers a true friendship, a string of murders takes place, in and around the town. A local human rights group theorizes that a former Argentine death squad killer is responsible for the crimes. Adrian refuses to hear anything about it «dont involve me» is his attitude. But he is already far more involved than he thinks.
