American Guerrilla in the Philippines
Fritz Lang
USA 1950
105 min
It is often said that AMERICAN GUERRILLA IN THE PHILIPPINES lacks Lang's personal touch. It is certainly not a film noir, and it is off the main trail of Lang's crime film work. Based on the story of Iliff David Richardson, it stars Tyrone Power as a U.S. Navy ensign stranded by the Japanese occupation of the Philippines in World War II.
