Kinderfilm

The new film by the Total Refusal collective, KINDERFILM is akin to Georges Perec’s novel La Disparition, reimagined for the age of Grand Theft Auto. We follow Edgar, a confused driver making his way through San Andreas trying to figure out why his world feels so empty. We see non-player characters going through their routines, watering their lawns or sipping drinks on the patio, as Edgar drives on seeking answers. As Edgar floats in a perpetual present, the missing element is the future. Once again, Total Refusal provide a virtual landscape that mirrors our own. (Michael Sicinski)
