Anna Recalde Miranda is an Italian-Paraguayan documentary filmmaker and producer with a degree in media sociology from the University of Bologna (Italy). She also completed a Master's degree in SPEAP (Experimentation in Political Arts) at Sciences Po, Paris.
She has produced and directed several documentary films, which have won awards at international festivals. Following on from her previous films, LA TIERRA SIN MAL (2009) and POWER AND IMPOTENCE A DRAMA IN 3 ACTS (2014), GREEN IS THE NEW RED is the third part of a trilogy of documentaries on the political history of Paraguay from the Stoessner dictatorship to the present day. She is based in France, where she works as an editor and director.
