Born in 1937 in London, is a British theater and film actor. After a ballet education she goes to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. First main role in the political farce MORGAN: A SUITABLE CASE FOR TREATMENT (1966). In the same year, she plays Antonionis BLOW UP in Michelangelo. She works with directors such as Tony Richardson, Karel Reisz, Sidney Lumet, Elio Petri, Ken Russell, Herbert Ross, John Schlesinger, James Ivory, Mimi Leder and Marleen Gorris. Oscar as the best nephew in Fred Zinnemann's JULIA 1978. Vanessa Redgrave is known for her decade-long political commitment.
