ROLAND KLICK - THE HEART IS A HUNGRY HUNTER
Born in Hof an der Saale in 1939. Before entering the film business, he was successfully dedicated to jazz and painting. He studied theater and was enrolled at the German Institute for Film and Television in Munich (DIFF). After writing his first scripts, he occupied himself with short film from 1962 on. The first three works CHRISTMAS (1962), LUDWIG (1964) and TWO (1965) were awarded festival prizes. In search of an Italian co-producer for DEADLOCK he collaborated with Federico Fellini in the preparation of SATYRICON for several months in Rome. With the following artworks he quickly established popular success. From 1992, he participated in television productions under an alias. After traveling extensively in Southeast Asia and South America, he lived on the west coast of Ireland for several years. He worked on a novel and film theory writings. At various German film schools he taught. Films as producer: SUPERMARKT (1974), DEADLOCK (1970), BÜBCHEN (1968)
