Born 1990 in Linz, is an Austrian director and screenwriter. She studies philosophy in Vienna, Berlin and São Paulo, and since 2016 directing and screenwriting at the Vienna Film Academy. Her short films have been selected at numerous international film festivals (e.g. Sarajevo Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival). FISCHE (2020) wins the prize for best short film at the Diagonale '20. Raphaela Schmid lives and works in Vienna.
