Melanie Waelde studied screenwriting at the "Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin" (dffb). Since her graduation she is working as a director and writer in Potsdam. Her feature-length debut NACKTE TIERE celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale 2020.
