He studied Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and Documentary Filmmaking at FAMU in Prague. He frequently works as a cinematographer and editor, both on his own projects and in collaboration with other directors. His first feature film, Fortress (2012), was co-directed, shot, and co-edited with Klára Tasovská. He regularly collaborates with Czech Television and HBO Europe. Together with Klára Tasovská, he directed and photographed their next full-length film, Nothing Like Before (2017), which competed at IDFA 2017. Since 2018, he has taught dramaturgy at the FAMU Documentary Department. Currently, he is also active as a producer of both fiction and documentary film projects.
