Was born on 18 November 1983 in France and is a French film director and screenwriter. She made her feature film debut in 2016 with RAW. She gained international recognition in 2021 when she won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes International Film Festival for TITANE – the first woman to receive the award alone and the second female director ever. She was also nominated for Best Director at the 75th British Academy Film Awards. Her films are known for their intense visual style and mostly fall within the body horror genre.
