Bajo las banderas, el sol (Under the Flags, the Sun)
The filmmaker, researcher, and producer, creates essay films and video installations. The Paraguayan film archive forms the basis of his research, and his projects often explore modern infrastructure and everyday built landscapes.
With UNDER THE FLAGS THE SUN, he won the FIPRESCI Award at Berlinale Panorama, the BAFICI Grand Prize, Best Documentary at the Lima International Film Festival, and many other recognitions. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the Asunción International Contemporary Film Festival. In 2026, he will be a DAAD fellow in Berlin.
