John C. Reilly is an American actor, comedian, singer, and screenwriter. Born on May 24, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, he began his career in the late 1980s and gained early recognition for dramatic roles in films such as BOOGIE NIGHTS (1997), MAGNOLIA (1999), and GANGS OF NEW YORK (2002).
He later became widely known for his comedic talent, especially through collaborations with Will Ferrell in films like STEP BROTHERS (2008) and TALLADEGA NIGHTS (2006). Reilly has also shown great versatility in musicals (CHICAGO, 2002), animated films (WRECK-IT RALPH), and arthouse productions (THE LOBSTER, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN).
