NO MERCY
Is a writer and director who studied documentary filmmaking at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF München). Her debut film HI, AI. LOVE STORIES FROM THE FUTURE (2019), about relationships between humans and humanoid robots, won the Max Ophüls Prize and was nominated for the German Film Award. Her second feature documentary PLASTIC FANTASTIC (2023) received the German Documentary Audience Award and the German Ocean Film Award, among others. She was honored with the Vaclav Havel Prize for the TV documentary MUSIC AND POWER (2018). Her third feature documentary NO MERCY (2025) premiered at Filmfest Hamburg, Viennale, and DOK.NYC. Isa also authored a monograph on director Kira Muratova.
