Ira Sachs is an American director, screenwriter and producer. His films are known for their intimate and nuanced explorations of relationships, family, friendship and queer life. With LOVE IS STRANGE (2014), LITTLE MEN (2016) and FRANKIE (2019), he was regularly represented at major international festivals. PASSAGES (2023) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was subsequently presented, among others, at the Berlinale. Sachs’s films have received numerous awards and acclaim for their precise character work and distinctive visual language. THE MAN I LOVE (2026) is his latest feature film.
