Giorgi Koberidze is a Georgian composer of electronic and classical music. He teaches music programming at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, Ilia State University, and Music School 303 Herz. His work moves between tradition and experimentation, currently focusing on Georgian folk music, for which he has received the 1st Prize at the Tbilisi Conservatoire Composers Awards. As part of the duo AWWWARA, he was selected for the European SHAPE+ support program. Koberidze is also active as a film and theatre composer. His music for WHAT DO WE SEE WHEN WE LOOK AT THE SKY? has received international recognition and was nominated, among others, for the German Film Critics Award. His latest work, FORESTS, TALES, CITIES, FORESTS, received the prestigious Tsinandali Award.
