Born in Dessau / DDR. Studied Cultural Science at the Humboldt University Berlin and direction at the HFF „Konrad Wolf“. Works as author and dramatic advisor at the DEFA Dokumentarfilmstudio [1987 – 1991]. Since autumn 1989 he did his own work. Since 1996 he is producer at realistfilm.
