Born 1961 in Stuttgart, is a German director and film producer. He is studying visual communication at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg. His first feature film PAUL BOWLES - HALBMOND received several awards (among others German Camera Award, German Film Critics Award). Since 1987, he has been running the video store "Filmgalerie 451" together with Irene von Alberti, which later became a video label, a film distribution and a film production company. Besides numerous feature films, he also makes documentaries, including THREE STONES FOR JEAN GENET with Patti Smith and CHANCE 2000, which documents Christoph Schlingensief's political project of the same name. As a producer, he produces films by Christoph Schlingensief, Werner Schroeter and Heinz Emigholz, among others.
