Born in Târgu Mureș (Transylvania, Romania) into an artistic family, she trained at the Athanor Academy of Performing Arts in Burghausen in the class of David Esrig. She is a multilingual actress working across borders in Germany, Romania, Spain, and other countries. In 2010, she founded the theater collective “Institute for the Pursuit of Happiness” in Munich. Alongside her extensive theater work, she is also active in international film. Her breakthrough came with the feature film MY ONE AND ONLIES (2006), followed by roles in LA BANDA PICASSO (2012) and THE DUKE OF BURGUNDY (2014). She gained widespread recognition for her leading role in Radu Jude’s KONTINENTAL ’25 (2025), which premiered in competition at the Berlinale and won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay. That same year, she also appeared in DRACULA (2025). Her performances are marked by versatility, linguistic agility, and a strong physical presence that resonates both on stage and on screen.
