Doroteja Nadrah was born in Slovenia and came to international attention through Talents Sarajevo in 2014, shortly after her successful debut in the award-winning film CLASS ENEMY (RAZREDNI SOVRAŽNIK, dir. Rok Biček, 2013). This international platform introduced her to the Balkan film industry, leading to further collaborations in the region, including YOU DREAMT YOU WERE HAPPY (SANJALA SI DA SI SRETNA, dir. Ivana Škrabalo, 2015) and THE RIGHT ONE (dir. Urška Djukić and Gavriil Tzafka, 2019). Her career continued to develop, most notably with her leading role in Sonja Prosenc’s HISTORY OF LOVE (ZGODOVINA LJUBEZNI, 2018), for which she received a Best Actress nomination at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. A member of the European Film Academy, Nadrah most recently played leading roles in two international co-productions: the Austrian-Slovenian film MILA/MARIJA (dir. Andrina Mračnikar, 2026) and the Croatian film FIVE DAYS AT THE SEA (PET DANA NA MORU, currently in post-production). She is currently based between Copenhagen, Denmark, and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
