Dora García

Born in 1965 in Valladolid, Spain. Video and installation artist. Studied at the University of Salamanca and the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid as well as a postgraduate degree at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. García has developed works on the Stasi (ROOMS, CONVERSATIONS, 2006), the stand-up comedian Lenny Bruce (JUST BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT ANYTHING HAS CHANGED, LENNY BRUCE IN SYDNEY, 2008) and the origins of antipsychiatry ( THE DEVIANT MAJORITY, 2010). In 2012, she published the project KLAU ME: RADICALISM IN SOCIETY MEETS EXPERIMENT ON TV at dOCUMENTA (13). Selected exhibitions include: Tate Gallery of Modern Art, Biennale di Venezia, dOCUMENTA (13) and Centre Pompidou.
