HEMELSLEUTEL
Digna Sinke, born in 1949 in Zonnemaire (Netherlands), is one of the most versatile Dutch filmmakers. Since graduating from the Netherlands Film Academy in 1972 with the short film GROETEN UIT ZONNEMAIRE, she has directed numerous documentaries and feature films. Her film DE STILLE OCEAAN was selected for the Berlinale competition, while BELLE VAN ZUYLEN received three nominations at the Netherlands Film Festival and won the top prize at Mannheim-Heidelberg. Her long-term documentary WEEMOED EN WILDERNIS (2010) received multiple awards. Later works such as UNDER THE SURFACE and BEWAREN / KEEPING & SAVING (2018) were nominated for the Golden Calf. Her most recent film is HEMELSLEUTEL. Since 2001, she has headed the production company SNG Film and has produced over 30 films.
