Chris Simon and Maureen Gosling got to know each other more than 30 years ago when working with the renowned documentarist Les Blank. Gosling worked as Blank's co-director and editor, Simon as his producer (BURDEN OF DREAMS, 1982; J’AI ETÉ AU BAL: THE CAJUN AND ZYDECO MUSIC OF LOUISIANA, 1989). In 2001 Gosling realized the award winning film BLOSSOM OF FIRE.
