Born in Nebraska. Studies at the University of Texas, Austin. In 1996 he shot his first feature film, SHAMELESS, followed by Olympia (1998) and 2008 RSO (REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER). In 2009, he receives several awards for HARMONY AND ME, and at the Locarno Film Festival he receives the Special Price of the Jury for SOMEBODY UP THERE LIKES ME.
