Angélica Castelló (b. 1972 in Mexico City) is a Mexican-Austrian composer, recorder player, improviser, and sound artist. Her compositional work also extends to theatre, dance, film, radio, and sound installations at the intersection of music, performance, and visual art. In 2022, her music theatre project Red Rooms, inspired by Louise Bourgeois' installations, premiered at Schauspielhaus Wien as part of the Wien Modern festival. Her work has been presented at major international festivals such as Wien Modern, Ars Electronica, Sonic Acts, and CTM Festival. She teaches at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and was awarded the Ernst Krenek Prize for composition by the City of Vienna in 2025.
