Andrea Lissoni, artistic director of Haus der Kunst Munich since April 2020, launched his transdisciplinary program at Haus der Kunst with the sound and music residency series “Tune” and a series of interlinked exhibitions by Fujiko Nakaya, Dumb Type, Carsten Nicolai, Christine Sun Kim, Tony Cokes and Karrabing Film Collective (2022), followed by “In other spaces. Environments by Women Artists 1956-1976”, which is currently on view alongside projects by WangShui, Martino Gamper and Meredith Monk. The series will continue to develop in spring 2024, with solo exhibitions by Pan Daijing, Liliane Lijn and Rebecca Horn.
Andrea Lissoni's program at Haus der Kunst is based on a trans-disciplinary and trans-generational approach in which all areas are closely connected. The vision is developing with a strong investment in digitalization, is focused on education and participation, on new communication tools as well as on core collaborations (for example with the Bavarian State Opera, Public Possession, Euward Award, Ars Viva) and aims to position Haus der Kunst at the pulse of time in society and to attract a new and expanded audience.
