She discovered her passion for storytelling as a child through radio plays and theater. After a successful acting career and completing medical studies, she returned to the film industry in 2020. Her short films DIE MAUER MUSS WEG (2022) and FARAH (2023) address socially relevant topics and have received numerous awards, with FARAH winning the prestigious Golden Sparrow in 2024 for Best Children’s and Youth Film. With her feature-length directorial debut, PATERNAL LEAVE - 3 TAGE MEER (2025), which premiered in the Generation 14+ section at the Berlinale, she engaged deeply with contemporary family dynamics and parenthood. The film won several awards, including Best Feature Film from AG Kino – Gilde – Cinema Vision 14plus at the Berlinale, Best Director at both BCN Film Fest and Raindance Festival, as well as the Audience Award at the Bellaria Film Festival.
