Born in 1973 in Argentina, she studied photography, screenwriting, and film directing from 1991 to 1994. After six years working as a camera assistant and cinematographer, she began directing her own films starting in 2000. Her first feature film NO QUIERO VOLVER A CASA (2000) was screened, among others, in competition at the Rotterdam Film Festival. Carri moves with great experimental enthusiasm between different genres—from film noir to documentary storytelling with fictional elements. She has received numerous international awards. In Argentina, she founded the Asterisco International LGBTIQ Film Festival.
