VIBRATOR
Rei, a freelance writer, doesn't fit the mould of the typical thirtysomething Japanese woman. Her surpressed feelings echo in her head like inner voices. She can't sleep, has an eating disorder and likes to drink. Then, while buying a bottle of wine at a convenience store, she meets - and is attracted to - a truck driver named Okabe. Following the tug of her desire, she embarks on a journey with him, the vibrations of her soul perfectly in tune with those of the truck. Indeed, this intimate, unconventional love story makes the audience quiver in unison with Rei, as she slowly begins to acknowledge her true self. (Giovanna Fulvi)
