The Velvet Underground had already delivered the sound to More Milk Yvette and Hedy. In The Velvet Underground and Nico, Andy Warhol is portraying the legendary band. The film was being shot during a band rehearsal at the Factory. The first part shows the rehearsal, the second how this rehearsal is being stopped by the New York police. Supposedly, the neighbours have complained about the noise.
