Reunited after Conceiving Ada, Lynn Hershman-Leeson and Tilda Swinton practice their multiplication tables in this brilliant send-up of cloning. Swinton plays Rosetta Stone, a nerdy biogeneticist, whose loneliness leads her to download her own DNA into her research project. She begets her very own trio of SRA (self-replicating automaton) gals - Olive, Marine, and Ruby -, all played by Swinton. Ruby, the adventurer, makes daring nighttime raids into the real world, armed with pickup lines from old movies. Her mission? To harvest the sperm that she and her sisters need to stay alive. (...)
