A man who worked in a food packing plant in the suburbs of San Francisco is totally transformed by a domestic accident in which he is grievously wounded on the head. He disappears, then gets involved in all kinds of trafficking and conflicts. Well this may not be exactly what happened but it hardly matters. The man keeps switching locations, appearances, and identities.
