12-year-old Napo overhears his older brother, Abel, and his mother express doubts that he, Napo, will be able to take on a mans responsibilities once Abel goes to boarding school. Hurt by their doubts, he sets out to prove them wrong by finding a termite mound, building a hut around it, and trying to lure termites out of it.
