LUNCH WITH FELA
For many years, Abraham Ravett has had a dialog with his mother Fela, an Auschwitz survivor, regularly incorporating parts of their conversations in his radio programs. Lunch with Fela is the logical continuation of this dialog, up until his mothers death. Ravett shows us the last visits to the old-age home, attempts of conversations rather than real conversations, and finally has to acknowledge a woman, whose rules continue to apply, even in moments of weakness. «To cut off», the director would later say, «would have meant cutting off her life».
