DAS IST ALLES

This documentary portrays life in a small Russian village in the Kaliningrad region, the former East Prussia. After regaining it from the Germans, the Soviet administration populated this area with people from different republics. Among these new settlers, Mr. and Mrs. Deis came from Kazakhstan. Like their neighbors, they tried to make the best of the new circumstances. There is Mr. Benz who constructs airplanes, repairs TV sets, and builds tractors, and there are Nadia and Alexei who have been living in the area since the 1950s. They all talk about their lives, their hopes, and their memories.
