Is film a global product? Is it about identity? Should productions by national filmmakers convey the feelings and events of their society? To what degree do directors have to be part of their home-country in order to make films about it; and how significant is the choice of language?

These are some of the questions that will be raised when members of the Austrian cinema platform coop 99, the unconventional German film magazine Revolver and the ingenious Austrian multimedia trio maschek come together at the VIENNALE. Visitors are most welcome to join this discussion.
