There is no definition of a masterpiece, nor any common denominator between these outstanding works of art. Some masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa, are small, others, like the Postman Cheval’s “Ideal Palace”, the Sistine Chapel and Syberberg’s ]]>Hitler]]> are enormous in scale. It is dangerous for the public to want to experience only the masterpieces. I have made a brief survey, a quick overview of this area of excellence. (Luc Moullet)
