Volker Koepp's new film Berlin-Stettin begins with recollections of post-war Berlin to subsequently expand into a great historic panorama. For decades now, Volker Koepp has placed his cinematographic notes in the wounds of the country like a kind seismograph, with sensitivity for suffering and injustice. Berlin-Stettin is his most personal film to date - brave, sad, funny and rebelliously hopeful.
