The second part of Heinz Emigholz' «basis film and master tape» for his feature films. The Basis of Make-up II consists of drawings and writings - the «protagonists» in this case are 69 of the artist's illustrated notebooks from the years 1983 to 1996 and three sketchbooks from the 80s and 90s - as well as of several cinematic studies, shot over the years in Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Germany and the USA.
