Tribute to Peter Nestler
Ein ARBEITERCLUB IN SHEFFIELD
Peter Nestler
BRD 1965
41 min
Shot in the industrial town of Sheffield, this film is an impressive study of working-class. Hard work is juxtaposed to the relaxed mood of the workers socializing in a club. The tale is told using more than 200 still images of raw beauty interspersed with frank and direct sound recordings of the subjects.
