If Christoph Schlingensief been in the right place at the right time and more interested in music videos, he could have done as much for German bands as Derek Jarman’s clips did for “The Smiths”. But Schlingensief was always in a different “right place” at a different “right time”, so we can simply be very amused and entertained by his playful approach to musicals, singing along and enjoying the images that music creates in our heads.
