Standing at the entrance to Vienna Airport, Kenedi Hasani, a cosmopolitan “illegal” immigrant, true hero of our time and star of a remarkable trilogy by Žilnik, observes dogs being prepared to board a flight. He turns towards the camera and declares that the dogs have an Austrian passport and thus more rights than he has. Žilnik neither ennobles Kenedi nor does he look down on him. He treats him as an equal and records his journey home to Novi Sad where he tries to survive. (Patrick Holzapfel)
