Crónica del cansancio
Chronicle Of Tiredness
Time passes, the camera moves, and the same problem persists: despite exhaustion, despite progress and democracy, access to the most basic of needs—a home—remains out of reach. A former member of Los hijos, creators of some of the finest Spanish political cinema, Natalia Marín addresses the deepest crisis of contemporary capitalism: housing as a business rather than a right, which she marries to a radical cinematic form. Visual violence mirrors real violence; visual exhaustion mirrors real exhaustion. No matter how hard you work (or film), you’ll never have your own place. (Gonzalo de Pedro Amatria)
