Bloom

San Borondón is a phantom island, appearing and disappearing over the course of history in the northern Atlantic as part of the Canary archipelago. The legend surrounding it was so strong that it has prompted real discovery expeditions more than once in the last centuries. Shooting on land with all the frail beauty of 16mm and with a pristine digital camera under the sea, BLOOM is a modern exploratory expedition where the fantastical and the real merge into a true portrait of a land out of time, a land of mesmerizing, lunar beauty enveloped by the sea.
