Caspar Newbolt is a graphic designer, filmmaker and photographer. He co-founded the graphic design company Version Industries in 2003. He has remained creative director and lead designer for the company since its inception, consulting and producing digital and print-based artwork for clients like A24 Films, Facebook, Daft Punk, JJ Abrams, Richard Branson, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Disney and Louis Vuitton. Caspar works in an art direction and design capacity for film directors such as Trey Edward Shults, Tim Sutton, Jazmin Lopez, Patricia Rozema, Rick Alverson, Gerardo Naranjo, Ash Mayfair, Matt Porterfield, Braden King and Chloé Zhao. When not doing this he’s co-designing Filmmaker Magazine from cover to cover, and art directing bands such as The Protomen, 65daysofstatic, Makeup and Vanity Set, Big Black Delta and Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails). Caspar’s critical writings on film, design and advertising have earned the respect of Filmmaker Magazine and such design luminaries as David Carson and Florian Schmidt.
