Ijul'skij dožd'

For minutes the camera wanders through Moscow’s streets, shows crowds of people at traffic lights, the buzzing activity on the sidewalks, accompanied by multilingual radio sounds and song fragments from Europe. 30-year-old engineer Lena also rushes through this ostensive cosmopolitan city and has to discover the boundaries her generation has to face now. Director Chuciev captures quasi-documentary and marvelously the atmosphere of disappointment.
