ALFRED EDEL'S ATTACK ON HIMSELF
Born in 1984 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), former GDR. After graduating from high school in 2003 and completing community service at Chemnitz Hospital, he initially studied business mathematics and later mechanical engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology – both of which he dropped out of. From 2006, he worked as a nursing assistant in the hospital's cardiac catheterisation laboratory.
First film work from 2006 at SAEK Chemnitz, later at Chemnitzer Kunstfabrik and Filmwerkstatt e.V., also in an inclusive context.2008–2014: studied film and television directing at the HFF ‘Konrad Wolf’ in Potsdam-Babelsberg. 2023/24: attended the Friedl Kubelka Film School.
