Ignacio Agüero was born in 1952 in Santiago, Chile, and studied architecture and film. He is a professor of film at the University of Chile and a member of the network "Ceero en Conducta," which organizes film workshops for children. Since 1974, he has directed numerous documentary films, earning many awards. Retrospectives of his work are regularly held in Europe and the Americas. Ignacio Agüero has been making documentary films since 1977.
