Samat, a young boy, lives with his grandmother in a Kazakh village. One day, he finds a baby wolf in the forest, brings it home and keeps it in the garret. The hunter who killed the wolf's mother thinks that the little wolf is his deserved prize. Samat tries to protect his new little friend, but obviously, the cub doesn't want to leave its new master.
