WHISKY
Montevideo, Uruguay. Jacobo, a 60-year-old man, lives alone since the death of his mother. All he has in life is a humble sock factory about to go out of business. Marta, 48, Jacobos right hand, has worked for him for twenty years. Over the years, they have developed a relationship of mutual dependence. Herman, Jacobos younger brother, did not come for his mothers funeral. A year after their mothers death a tombstone is placed at her grave. Jacobo asks Marta to pretend to be his wife during Hermans visit. Herman was always very competitive with his brother, and always won. This time, Jacobo wants at least a tie. Marta sees Jacobos request as proof that she is more than just an employee to him.
